I recently just started over in hard mode and I have found a filly that in my opinion is outstanding for her rank. She is a bay filly named Rare Filly and can be found in the novice shop for around 2,100. She can easiy win GIII races in her early 70's. You would have to race her to know what I'm talking about but I recommend her to any beginners.

Geauxfer should weigh in on this filly--he got her to win over $150,000! She sounds like the real deal.
I'd welcome a horse review of Rare Filly. Sounds like a good addition to the horse reviews page. (And if no one will write one, then I'll just have to go get her and race her myself!)

No doubt about it, Birdseyeburn is the best starting horse I have ever had.
He won over $70k and I only pushed him to about 25 starts. I am pretty sure I could of gone a lot longer with him, but I didn't because I wanted to breed him early.

Hi everyone,
Fluter,Rare Filly is really something isn't she? For the life of me I couldn't understand how on earth she was winning these races.Slow pace, fast pace no matter she ran them down every time winning 41 of 44 races including two GI's.2,100 well spent. Two things really stood out though,The older she got the better, she was still winning at 7 when I had to retire her.The other may interest you LadyLinda and Kalgon,She never lost an inch of ground in the stretch and finished with an S in incline.Because of that I think that she wasn't outrunning the others but was outlasting them. Can anyone suggest a good mate for her? I'll keep my eye out for Birdseyeburn (thanks in advance Ms. Slew)but I'd be greatful for any other suggestions.
LadyLinda, what info do you need for a horse review? I'd be glad to write one for you if I knew how.
Fluter, Thanks again for sharing this great filly! Good Luck!

Geauxfer, I don't know of any Novice Shop studs worthy of her! One of my favorite game sires is a Step Up horse, Hasty Beast, with a long curve and 20 starts. He's a gritty little dirt horse and has been the beginning horse in two great lines for me. But he's a project in himself. On the other hand, those mega starts mean mega winnings down the road.
For horse reviews, all I need is a few sentences to a paragraph. Have you read the reviews on my player page? It's on Jim Cougar's site (Player's Stables, Office). You can see the ones already up. The idea is to give beginners info they can use in buying, racing or breeding game horses. From feedback I've gotten, I know that tips on how to race the horse are especially welcome. There's an e-mail link on the page. Or you can post your review here and I will cut and paste it for the page.
Thanks, too, for the note on Rare Filly's inc. Outlasting the field is a good way of putting it. A horse that still has a little extra at the wire can only be a good thing for a jockey.
