I am taking the challenge of trying to tip winner "blind". I will have to rely on trainers reputations, sesaon 3 form available and trainers comments on their trial horses.

If Bart Simpson trains on as a 3yo and with Ricky's reputation with his sprinting and mile horses, it would hard to go past it. He also saddles up Researcher, so we will need to respect it as well.

Craig, who already has representation in the sprint champs, will have Crystalise which raced as a 2yo last season and didn't quite live up to his trainers expectations. He also has All First a 6f sprinter which he didn't really talk up, so Craig may well have to do with his existing sprinting champ rep's.

James Ball has Egyptian (won the sopro sprint over 5f and placed at group level over 5f). Will need to get its points from the 5f race to qualify as it may not get the 6f. kenny Kanga is his other rep and it is best suited at 6f and likes good ground, so it might be a points earner in the 6f heat.

Colm believes his two (Golden Sea & Super Simian) will qualify. Big statement which must be supported by a lot of hard work over the last few months to get his team to this level. The jury is out and willing to watch at this stage.

Shaney tells us that The Park is suited to the track and conditions, but will it be good enough at this level.

Poldaflorena, Steve Coulson's (nippy colt) could be his best chance. Pennyweight is his other chance which is a 6f horse which he has some reservations on time comparisons.

Matt Haynes who already has a sprint qualifier, will have Monet competing in the trials. If would need to be in the class of his horse Ordinary Hero to be rated a chance here.

Richard Wood saddles up Gollum as a 4yo, which raced in season 3 as a 3yo with good hcp form before a 4th in the Breeders sprint. Naughto is his other horse. They are likely to be close up and consistent, but will they be able to get enough points to qualify.

Munnin has environmentalist which raced consistently in season 3 as a hcp'er and then close up in group class. Goes quick but can stop quickly. Might prefer a bit more "give" in the ground. 6f is too far.

The tiger stable's rep's Visibal and Rhysus are on par with stables season 3 runners (Westlin and Sandrone) which couldn't compete with the best and would be unlikley to qualify.

Well there are plenty of horses that I haven't covered, so there is chance I may have missed all the qualifiers.

My qualifying selections for what their worth.

Bart Simpson
Egyptian,
Kenny Kanga
Poldaflorena
Researcher
__________ (I'll leave this one open for the underdog trainers.

Good luck all.
