Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not sure if I should promote or stay put for another season.

Should I stay put so I can get more money behind me? I have approx $2.3 million and $330k in costs every week.

Stick in Class 3 mate, no incentive whatsoever to promote further than Class 3 imho.

If you want a less competitive league in order to be less worried about $$$, wait till last minute and promote or not depending in the number of non-bot stables in class 2 and class 3.

and that is why promotion should be compulsory and not optional

To be honest, I wouldn't want to stick to Class 3, even if I was there. The class of the jockey matters. That being said, i have no issues if Charles stays down there. Keeps Fates Warning that little bit weaker for me.

Can someone please explain to me the pros of not promoting? Clearly I'm missing something...

Pros only imo:
expenses: vets,training,facilities, admins all cheaper
training and league races extra day apart than class 1-2
jockey contracts slightly cheaper for same prestige levels
possibly managers wages

Brand new here....as in 2-3 days worth of newness

My stable is highlighted with an arrow...I take it that means I need to give an answer to changing....

the question:

how exactly do I do that?

if you don't promote you are missing out on 30% of your winnings from the end of season league payout

pretty significant incentive to promote imho

The arrow, pointing down, signifies the stable is in the relegation zone. The question mark next to it means the stable has a decision to make. Stay or go.

If you click Stables link on your top horizontal menu bar you will then see the home page of your own stable. Right center screen there is a box saying Important information and events:, hopefully one of them is a 'Window to promote and/or relocate is open' link.

You've got about 5 days left to make up your mind. I'd recommend reading the help pages and guides, put yourself up for the mentor programme if you're that way inclined. (Feel free to PM me if you want.)

You've got a few days, don't panic. Give the 2 year old away to a schoolgirl and don't pull another one next week.

Never been in a relegation position before, so not sure, but it looks to me like the stable may be highlighted because it's in a relegation slot and is waiting on a decision from a stable in the league below whether to promote or not. If so, i would imagine there's nothing you can do other than wait and see (like i say though, i'm not certain about that).

Oh of course, my answer is meaningless. I don't know what happens in a relegation situation either.

Doh! Bang head

I do actually have a link, but it kicks this back:

As you are waiting for a move to another Class, you are not eligible to move tracks. Unfortunately, you must wait on the Stables in 5 at your current track to take action about their promotion. (See Class 5 League table)

so I guess I have to wait, except I'm in slot and 5 stables below me have already accepted promotion so why do I still have a ? ?

And why do thay have brand new stables having to deal with this anyway? Why not give us late-in-season joiners a bye or something?

Just a little bit of a rant there..I just got a mentor assigned, waiting to make contact directly. Thanks for the advice!!

Marcmagik Meadows in Class 5 has not made a decision on wether to promote or not yet. He hasn't logged in since 12th December but I'm not sure what that tells us, will he be along at any minute or is he never coming back?

It's an an interesting situation though - if you wanted to move but cannot because you're waiting on someone else to make a decision... and they're never going to make a decision.

Have to wait for higher up feedback on this one, sorry I can't help anymore.

What a piece of bad luck. Maybe the delay will work out for the best though, at least you'll get to see whats there before promoting/moving.

Having just finished my first season competing against several more experienced tracks, I found my stable in a very unfinancial position, so I decided to promote and move to a quiet track, with just one other stable, to build up finances.

Unfortunately a couple of 'awesome' rated stables have joined in as well. At the moment 4th position is the highest I can now hope for this season.

What makes it worse is my other half stayed behind at our old track & class, and all the good stables there moved, so he will be winning all his races.

I should have stayed put.

Just looked up your new track - that's frightening.

Nobody could have seen that coming.

Wonder if the other two stables were moving to avoid each other? If they wanted to race against each other, they could have stayed where they were to do that.

Friends or foes?

Either way, it seems you've been caught in the crossfire.

So true. They did move within a very short time of each other. I didn't even want to move from my old track, and will probably go straight back next season. Of course I also gave up my 60hrs training and 38 hrs vet to make the move as well. Looks like they will be keeping me on my toes for a while.

actually I was wanting to stay...

I think it sucks that the newest stables get penalized in such a fashion for lacking in league standings when we join AFTER league races are done. (last one was Wednesday, I joined Thursday :P) Give us a "bye" or something so we don't have to sweat getting dropped right off the bat.

You have been unlucky, lots of stables have been added and managed to get the benefit of being in the top 5, so get a bonus to their accounts, despite not being here for league races.

Just make it drive you to come back bigger and better next year!

And it won't hurt you learning the trade in Class 5, plenty players start out in Class 6. It's not difficult promoting, but it can get difficult competing the higher you go, think of it as a bonus you might feel better.
