You want to race them at vig/fresh or vig/vig, sometimes at vig/ade if it is way better than the competition.

They can run at vig/ade but not to their best.I run mine at vig ade for the less important races and they do ok, for races with high rated horses entered they really need to be vig/vig so you get the best out of them.Get a good jockey on board as well.

You might want to apply for a mentor who can give you some personal advice on your stable, racing, training etc.

I had a look at your stable and you have a horse thats way under the weather rated only 14 (Exh/wasted) running in a stakes race tomorrow that cost 7500 to enter. No way will get any of your money back as there are a dozen bots in the race with much higher ratings.

I am not sure if you are aware of the overall rating (the number after the horses name) which gives you an overall indication of what I would call the horse racing ability. The number is a numerical summary of the horses skills and current health, tired horse cant run well so as the horses health declines so does its overall rating. Any horse that has a higher rating than yours, is normally likey to outperform yours.

I strongly suggest that you get a mentor otherwise you might end up losing a lot of money.

And the vet assessment is probably key. I use that more than set vig/adq kind of rules. I race them at Fresh or vigorous.

Phaulty,

Off-topic but going off the stable name and your username do you play WeBL at all? Quite a few of the UK set play this as well so if you want to send me a message then feel free (my WeBL gym is the Ragnarok gym).

At worst, race at vig / adequate or fresh / fresh. Otherwise your horse will end up like Dr. VooDoo's fighters (WeBL reference there for all those who wonder what I'm on about) and you won't win anything.

You timed it quite well as it's about two weeks before the leagues start - they've just finished so you get a full season to learn the ropes.

I thought that too Stevie when I saw his name. He's American and his stable is called Wiener Farm. Hasn't Phaulty got Wiener in his gym name? Wink
