I don't use the whip much either, augie. Iron Horse is at times EASY when you don't whip. If I know I'm going to blow the field away I hand ride the whole way.

I'm running an original right named named Double Dip who has 61 health. He's rated OK on turf, so turf races can be reasonably close going down the stretch (he'll have a 2-3 length lead with 2F to go). It's the funniest thing: if I'm nervous about the other horses catching him I lift my whip once, and he'll pull away. He doesn't get a revolution and there's not really a change on his speed meter, but he starts to put space between himself and the other horses. He crosses the line in first, chills out for a week, and then does it again... :) :) :)
