Then it started crashing when I clicked on SKIP NEXT. Then it crashed on SKIP DAY and in a race day when I clicked on SKIP DAY. The last time I clicked on SKIP DAY in a race day I got the Error message above. Now I get the message every time I click on either SKIP DAY OR SKIP NEXT. I then click on the space bar a few times and the game crashes to the desk top. A couple times, it crashed the computer and I had to reboot. It is pretty much non-functional at this point. It's the new showcase file, too. The problem is that there isn't a race on the 14th. These are the closest races to that date... 2,12 9,G2,4UP,F 200000 Santa Anita Park2 La Canada Stakes 2,16 9,G3,3 100000 Sunland Park Borderland Derby 2,16 9,G3,3 200000 Tampa Bay Downs2 Sam F. Davis Stakes The La Canada ran fine. I get to the 14th and BOOM. I put the 1.02 version of the showcases.dat file back in and no more crash. I saved on the 15th, put my showcases.dat file back in and everything is fine. The Borderland ran fine as well once I got past the 2-14 crash. I don't have a clue as to why there is a problem. I'll start a new game with my showcases.dat file and see if it crashes on the 14th again. More info as I can get it. I sure wish there were an easier way to change the showcase races. Beau

February 14th, "Skip Day", BOOM! What the heck?!? I'll look into it. Until I find out what the heck is going on, you can workaround like I did (file swap past the 14th) or go back to the original showcase. Sorry for the problems. Beau

My game is at Feb 13th and this has been going on for about 4 or 5 days in the game. My situation is different then somehow. As your schedule in my opinion, should be the official US showcase for SO 3 why don't you turn over yours to Mark and ask him to take a look at it and test it out. Maybe he could incorporate it into the next patch.

I reinstalled the new patch, moved to Feb. 15 and reinstalled your US showcase.dat file. Now everything seems to be working fine, just like yours. I urge you though, to send your showcase.dat file to Mark. I hope he is interested in testing it out himself and incorporating it into the next patch.

Feb, 13 is the date. I rechecked. To be more specific, moving from the 13th to the 14th is where the problem is. This is repeatable with a new game as well. I still don't understand it. I added that race on the 16th, the Borderland Derby, but I didn't add anything on the 13th or 14th. The only odd thing I can see is 2 races where I think they should say FM at the end of the second line but say F instead. These 2 races are also in the original showcases.dat file so they can't be the problem. 1,14 8,G2,4UP,F 150000 Santa Anita Park2 El Encino Stakes 2,12 9,G2,4UP,F 200000 Santa Anita Park2 La Canada Stakes I have deskchecked the entire schedule and I can't see any problem. Of course, I don't know all the restrictions that the games places on things like the date of the race or the number of tracks used per day. There could also be built in limitations that I have no way of knowing about. I do know that it does not accept more than 6 races per day. It also seemed to have a problem with the way I originally split up the Sunshine Millions races. When I changed it to run the Santa Anita races on one day and the Gulfstream Park races on the next, the program accepted it. Could there also be a problem with using tracks that the original showcases.dat file did not use? Mark, I can send you a saved game that is on February 13th and my US showcases.dat file. Where do I send them to? I am worried that there may be another CTD hidden in my modified showcases.dat file. I will continue to test it. Heck, I wasn't expecting this CTD either. Please advise, Beau
