I love this game, so im sad to write this,
but I have noticed that when you select a horse for a race, say 13 May 08, the main screen displays 13 May 09 sorry |

All my horses run as pacemaker or handy no matter what i instruct, anyone else have this problem ??

All Breeders cup races are on turf - Even the Classic and Juveniles.

1) the instructions work one below. For example if you instruct force the pace runs as pacemaker. If handy then runs as force the pace and so on
2) On the distance filter when selecting a distance you can't set it back to no distance selected after selecting a distance. You have to clear the selection filters. frustating as you have to select the horse again |

Twice I have had a horses disapear at the end of the season ( horse has not died ) and it has been replaced by a 2 year old

In the U.S. version, I noticed at least one "Oaks" race which is normally restricted to mares to be open to male and female.

First impressions of the game where to say
Couldnt get round the graphics (Will grow on me when I get some good uns lol  )
Jockey Orders are completely mixed up When you are breeding no flashing breeding to let you know breeding has finished (probably should be like Greyhound manager and tell you breeding is complete but doesnt) The second season 1st auction for 2 year olds crashed twice on me First time I played about the last six months of the year and went to the auction and moved my mouse over the first horse I fancied and froze.Couldnt even window button out had to switch off. Second time got to the end of season and saved went to the auction with money to burn and started buying the yearlings got to about eight new horses and crashed again I had all the add ons breeding barn etc and there was loads of room in the stable had about 10 horses max capacity In the mean time have finally started playing greyhound manager and have just started breeding awesome

Leon i had the same problem.
I save my game often, so at the end of the season i had this one horse that got sold abroad......i didnt receive any money for her ! So i decided to quit(close) & reload, tried again and the horse was either injured & retired or sold abroad, i dont mind this but i only just bought the horse. 
I like games that are not predetermined, as i said i reloaded the game many times thinking it was a bug, but sadly this horse was always leaving the game.....

Its best to sell the new 2 year old as it will just disappear at age 4. Normally after it wins a 3 mile grade 1 hurdle
 Happened on three different occasions to me.
Also it would be great if a symbol of some sort ( maybe a different colour 1,2 or 3) can appear next to a graded jumps winner. At the moment you have to go into every horse with a high reserve or rating to see if it has won a graded race and in the breeding barn you need to check the feature race wins. All a bit time consuming |

I've noticed in the construction kit you can't choose between Hurdles or Chases when you select a NH course, it automatically defaults to Chases, so
how can i trial my Hurdlers?

I have verified that the issue with incorrect placing in a race with a photo finish has not been fixed. I had it happen again last night. I'm getting a bit
tired of being screwed out of G1 wins by this bug. It's happened 3 times to me so far.

Same thing happened to me Leon.Paid well over 1 million for the horse at auction had it for 2 seasons and it was sold abroad and replaced with a new 2yr old.

I just started playing the game yesterday and have found a couple of minor bugs that are more frustrating than anything else and, for me at least, one major
bug that will keep me out of SOPL 9 if it can't be resolved!
In the breeding barn, if I breed one of my stallions (well ok, I only have the one at the moment) with a mare from another stable and breeding is successful. Clicking on the mare's name results in a crash to the desktop. I have also had a couple of crashes to the desktop while trying to bid for horses at the daily auctions. I also ended my first days play with over £2 million but started my second day with around £200,000. And yes I do save regularly! Now for the major bug. The construction kit is unusable. When trying to create a race, selecting a course, any course, results in the game freezing completely. Almost every time this happens the only way to resolve the problem is to shutdown or hit the reset button. |

Kev, the way around this is to select a US track, select your horses, then switch to the UK tracks. It works that way. This was a work around found thanks to

Thanks for the advice Dave, but I have to agree with Leon.
The only way I can trial is by using the standard turf track. Also, the few horses I have for trialling at the moment are jumpers, so all that happens when selecting a US track and then switching back to UK is that the trainer name changes and then the eligible horses are removed when I change the distance to 2m+. Here's an update on what happens when I try to select a track: The game either freezes when I select a track and is really awkward to get back to the desktop without a reboot, or it crashes with the following error: Error: Access violation at 0x00477113 (tried to read from 0x00000030), program terminated. On the rare occasions I have managed to select a course (other than standard turf) and tried to view a race, the game has frozen completely with the "working please wait." message in the middle of the screen and I have to shutdown or reset. |

I started a flat only game and have been playing in windowed mode ( with patches installed ) and have yet to have any kind of problem with the game or
construction kit. I have played about 8 seasons and it seems very stable. I have been playing in windowed mode because if you get an update message for
anything it freezes the game when playing full screen but not windowed.
I am about to start a jumps only game ( yes I know flat is included ) with DU's showcase ( thanks mate ) so we'll see how that one behaves in the game and construction kit. |

I've had to switch to flat only and have had no problems with this 5 seasons in but my jumps game is now impossible to load as an error message keeps
appearing every time I try load the saved game. Still have not been able to trial my jumps horses.
Will go back to jumps when the problems are resolved, hopefully, with the patch |

Definitely problems with the NH side of things, in the construction kit you can reset the ratings for FLAT but not for JUMPS if you try to change a rating on
the JUMPS screen nothing happens but when you switch to the Flat screen the change is applied there. The US races seem to work fine which are for the FLAT, and
the JUMPS races work fine in the UK. Remember you have to scroll down to Aintree to get to the JUMP courses as all the
tracks above are for the flat if you click on a course above Aintree it will freeze. I did run a race at Gulfstream (US) and when I went back to the
construction kit it reverted to UK mode and was set on Sandown so I ran that race and it was fine but when I tried to change tracks it froze.
On the game itself I bought about a dozen horses at auction and entered 5 of them in the Fighting Fifth Hurdle for my first race, 4 of them finished right out the back as expected but the other one opened up a ten length lead and stayed there all the way, I thought I had unearthed a monster in my first race but on subsequent runs it has been nowhere getting comments like " would be better in a lower class ".
