I have only recently had my first UK triple crown winner Republic and she was not good enough for the SOPL - so lets give the game itself rather than the league a good send off. Post your best experiences here. I have to say that winning the Derby and Breeders Cup Classic with the CPU horses off the screen is pretty satisfying. What is/was the best part of the game for you guys?

Red Anchor would be probably be the best. Was my first real star and she was a star in the game and in the league too. Raced 17 times for 17 wins. She set 7 track records in my game. That was for SO2. For SO1 had a sprinter Classic Cover. Won something like 109 races. I doubt anybody has had a horse win that many races.

I managed to get a sprinter In SO2 OZ to win a claimer/seller/handicap at 14yo but thats about it, as getting an old horse to win goes - heres another good question then - Oldest game race winning horse?

At this time it was my first attempt and this horse won 34 from 37 with about 25 gp1s. It was only beaten a short head by a good 4yo I had in the game in the Dubai World cup at 7. Would have been 3 World Cups in a row which isnt too bad. Me and Azezal could not get near it for a long long time in the CK I was so impressed with it. Then I entered it here an its record is 000, straight back down to earth there. Still by far my favourite horse even though i started a new game and done my trials from the CK not on what they achieved in the game, We Won is a mid-division horse now in my Ck at best so got more hopes after the recent upload.

I am not playing it to produce any stars but just playing the game and getting a lot of enjoyment out of it, it certainly makes the races more competitive with 6 trainers.

Posts: 312 (04/27/08 1:28 PM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	Some great memories, Cool Creek winning 6 Nunthorpes (including 1 at 2yo) and 5 Abbaye's plus 4 or 5 July Cups, Breeders Cup Sprints and Goldens Shaheens. My best memory however is with Enzaria - he won me my first triple crown and some extras - 2000 Guineas, Derby, King George, St Leger and then won the Breeders Cup Classic and Japan Cup despite being knackered!! Took me seasons and seasons to win a Triple Crown but managed it a few more times after him. I started a new game about a month ago for fun and I do not allow myself to buy any horses - just ensured that I started with at least 1 colt and 1 filly and bred from them - even though they were donkeys - Luckily my 2yo was quite good . In season 10 now (I watch every race where I have a runner) and just starting to get somewhere - I still havent won the trainers title though!! It is fantastic fun and reminded me of just how great the game is when you are not just hammering your way through seasons and seasons like a robot. I am loving it!! It sounds mad but part of me could do without SO3 to be honest as we will all be thinking of future leagues .

I suppose my league success has come late so no history from me. I am enjoying every minute of this season. I too Paul am playing the game like you now breeding from one mare and one stallion only. Great fun. Something else I do is to play the game for real without doing the money cheat and act as if you are a stable struggling for funds. I only buy horses for under 3k. You can sometimes find a steal. I played recently. Bought a horse for 2.3k it went on two win two listed races and finished 2nd and 4th in two massive handicaps. This is great fun!!! Kind Regards Jay

Because if real life trainers dont bet, do they ?
