Does antone know what the maximum classification rating is in the game, if there is a max? I don't think there is a max for the stats, they only go up to 99 but have heard of some league horses that have hidden speed stats of 130.

Altough it wasn't the answer for the quetion I was looking for, you answered one that I had also wanted to ask about max horse stats past 99. But I was talking about the 6 month and end of year classification list in the game. Its ok, coz I fouind the solution in a Gallop Racer 2004 Honour Hall thread. Here it is if anyone else is interested in it. GR2004 Classification & Speed Rating. As regards the speed ratings the highest ratings you can get from winning group ones are in the English Derby/New York Derby, Paris Cup, Independence Cup and Continental Cup and other big races like them. But you can get higher ratings from winning a group 3 race in February. The two races are the valentine s and the capital s, for some reason they give huge ratings, though you must have top weight of 154 in the race for this to work to full effect, I'm still not exactly sure how they work out, but I regularly get ratings of 165+ when winning these races, especially the capital race. Its a great way of getting your closers to get ratings of over 140+ so that the get a classical evaluation of SS when they retire.
