Because I like it that much, I was wondering what greyhound manager was like. Has any1 got both games, what do you think of Greyhound Manager. Also when does the new online game start for Greyhound Manager. Is it the same sort of concept, buy, breed, race and train dogs to race online?

Tried it for a while and the game is pretty good. Like the hurdles in it. For me though I gave it away to focus on my never ending battle with Padraig If you want to know more ask Jim Cougar. Jamie Taylor (racinguk) is another who played both for a while.

Then the ultimate fate was sealed when my game crashed only to find there's no cure for my game, and that I'd have to start all over again. I didn't like that, so went back to SO2 and never looked back.

It certainly helps if you like greyhound racing. I used to own a few greyhounds and raced them at Belle Vue in England, so I took a bit of a shine to GM. Now, I would not shoot the game down as its still a very good game, but horse racing appeals to me so much more and I would prefer to spend what little time I have devoting it to SO. Also, there are one or two things that annoyed me about the game (sorry Mark.......). The fact that your graders can run at any track ruined the realistic aspect for me. Its fine for the Open racers, but being able to run your A9 dogs at any track in graded races ruined it for me. I suppose its very much like a lot of people hate the 130 handicap rating in SO. Neither game is absolutely perfect (how can it be - everyone wants something else!!!), but what I will say is that for depth, SO is much the better game and much more realistic. And I think SO has much more development power in a vastly more popular sport than Greyhound Racing. But still, if £20 is a drop in the ocean to you, and you have time to share between both games, then I see no reason not to give it a go. I enjoyed it and still do, but as I said, my preference is for SO. Roll on SO3.........
