LOL I just figured out that I could hire and train a couple of Apprentices for my stables. Thats really cool.
Are any of you training apprentices? Have any successful procedures on going about this?

I've got one. Not sure how well we're doing yet, I haven't won since I got him. I just hired a regular jockey to ride in my league races. I'm
going to use the apprentice for the one or two stakes races I do a week.
Would love to know which training style helps with the home stretch!

Hmmm I'm not sure about my jockeys I try to train the "likes to run wide" out of them by training in the sticks to inside rail. As it is now
I'm just putting each to have different skills, one is new and just has aggressive temperment, the other enjoys high speeds and fires up very early.
I'm training one for sprints one for long/epic though will have them both race over all distances. Just be a bit better in the specified areas.
I'll be training both my apprentices to work well with difficult horses because I have a lot of hard to handle ones. Most are fiery or unbroken.

Yeah, I was thinking about training both of mine to ride in both sprint and long races, but to have one more experienced at either sprint or long races. I too
decided to have them only train in Stakes races and leave my Class races to the pros.
