This race prominent for a furlong then restrain to rear is pissing me off big time. Still 2 winners. My horses dont like firm and obviously dont like Ascot. Bow down to Mr Tweddle - Absolutately awesome. You must trial your horses there. Well done mate. Go on ESA lets see the nude ones!!

I've had it non stop and got it again this week. Stoneacre Girl went to the front although doubt it would of won anyway. Mythical went to the front but would of went really well. Stoneacre Karen got a similar ride to Sandown and came with a long run again but you cant give that much ground away and flattened out as I expected late. Queen Of Poland was given a shocker, Again as in the Oaks!!. Then you get jockeys wondering whats going on on top of your horses! The pace is becoming you have to get on with and im getting used to it now. Every horse of mine is a hold up horse which and they always seem to pull back to last or near last and you cant do that. I did land a Group 1 Winner is Miswaki Ii and she proved how good she is and she got an absolute stinker, Yet again. It's happened 3 times to her now. At newbury she got pulled back to last. Never seen nothing like it in the Irish 1000 Guineas, That really sickened me. Then when the jockey pulled her back to 2nd last off a slow pace I just thought here we go again. Somehow she found another burst of speed inside the last furlong and got up. Still know we aint seen the best of her though.

We all cop shit rides and I had a few this week despite 15 top 5 finishes of 18. Big Balls & Humperdink both came out of the stalls at 100 mph. Both of them I was expecting wins from. Along Came A Spider dwelt at the start and lost by a head. There were 9 track records that fell this week. Thats right..9 track records. Doubt whether as many track records have fallen in a week before. We all cop shit rides now and again but what you need to realise ESA is you are not unbeatable at 12 furlongs. You are far from it as this week proved. Only one of my four had a firm track preference and I finished top three in all the 12 furlong races. Sure, I know Its Mr T Fool and Quit Your Jibbajabba can run low 2:31s when the pace is on and they run those times they will be lucky to lose but sometimes races dont go how you think. I thnk the mile races are becoming a joke this season though. Most of them have farcical pace and come down to who can sprint harder in the last two furlongs. Times have been pathetic and the group one times this week were testament to this. They should have been running times close to Quavers and Croquet's.

Would solve the problem I had last year with Mythical Force. It would absolutely murder any of these milers running this year, and last race - it destroyed Daggers Dream who won an Irish Guineas, but the pace killed it every time.

I was definitely NOT impressed with No Moving being going out in front. In fairness the jockey seemed to make every effort to restrain it but as nothing else was going on it was inevitable that he would end up in fron early. No point dwelling on this though. everyone gets bad rides and somehow everyone seems to think they would automatically win if the tactics were correct. As DU says this does not always follow. They standard is really high now as shown by the spread of winning stables this week. It just adds to the excitement if things are a bit unpredictable.

I mean prime example for me is Miswaki Ii. She won the Coronation this week, With an atrocious ride for the 3rd time on the bounce. Now if you look at the Irish 1000 guineas effort you really have to start thinking would she of won. But we will never know because she was given no chance of winning. I've had 77 Runs and if you round that to 80. I have had more than 20 bad rides but thats just the minimum which is effectively 25% of your horses. 1 in every 4 every week will get a bad ride. Then what also is annoying the ones that you most want to get a good ride gets a bad one and ones with small chances get decent rides. Seriously annoying and i've been saying this since about weeks 4/5. . . .

P.S will everybody who lives in England, Scotland, Italy, Ireland and France please stop taking the mickey out of Speedster - we Slammed(thats GRAND SLAMMED) U this year. Wales wont get within 30 of the All Blacks. They are hopeless. In the pecking order of rugby you have the tri nations then the super 14s then the six nations. There is not a single six nations side that would be good enough to win the super 14s and only half would even make the final four. When you come down the southern hemisphere in may/june it will be same old same old as far as northern hemisphere humiliation goes.

Seriously though that pecking orders not going to be as hard and fast as it has undoubtedly been previously. The Southern Hemisphere had a serious jump on all us in the North when the game went pro and it is only now, at least tactically that the North is catching up - (England, France in WC). Can't see the AB'S putting 30 points on us as you are coming over here and probably not with a full team - will probably be 5-10 point win to you, we will probably lose by same margin in first away test against the BOKS in SA,and maybe suffer a little in the second, but then be close and maybe beat them and certainly the Aussies at home (almost won the first test in OZ last year with an idiot as coach, then got stuffed in second). Getting back to the point though how many people actually give instructions, never thought it makes much difference myself as the jocks just do what the want anyway in the actual game and none of my runners have instructions but have never actually tried giving instructions to my exported horses, except pacemakers in my trials.

Now that aside I really enjoyed the Gold Cup this week (as always!), the last couple of furlongs of the Gold Cup is unique, it really looks and feels like a real horse race. Grats PST on a super effort, well done Dave F - have a feeling your filly will go closer on slightly softer ground and amazing effort by Kamo's horse. Colm and Jay's great fillies didnt get the trip but there is still plenty of races on offer for them later in the year.
