But so unfortunate for the connections of George Washington...they bred Barbaro too. Such a tragic twist on a great day

As much as i wanted to see this race on a fast track,I think that curlin deserves it,to me him and tiago will still be improvong at 4.As for the juv colts,I
think that pyro and war pass will have that easy goer and sunday silence rival in the future. For the juv fillies I still like smarty deb but indian blessing
was much the best on BC day.Smart Strike has 2 BC winners in english channel and curlin, the thing is that they both had strong victories in the BC.
George washington Tueflesburg(the iron horse) Scat Daddy Invasor Sheakspreare and the rest that broke down...charge it to the game |

yes curlin was much the best . but that situation with gw was a result of his human handlers. he never ran in the slop and when he did run on dirt he ran off
the board i think the greed of the europians did him in.
why would they bring GW back to the track after they found out he could not reproduce ? why not retire the horse and send him to a farm and let him live out the rest of his life. the same thing happend to the great horses lure and cigar they both had fertllity problems BUT both were sent to the farm not put back into training. in my opinion greed would be the only driving factor in that decision not the welfare of the horse. |

I'm not going to lie if I was put i that situation I would've brung him back to race, but a horse just don't break down like that.Something was
very wrong with him and I think they didn't know or they didn't care.

secretariats fan wrote: iam with you on that. but to tell the truth mike tabor and crew didnt care. the horse had no value to them as a stud and they had insurence on him so they sent him against the best dirt horses in the world on a bad track that was a classless move by them and i will never look at mike tabor the same |
