I've been reading this for a few years now and I've always had a few questions about entering the orlworld league for gallop racer.
1. How do you get into the league? 2. How do you send your data to the person who organizes the races? 3. How many times a year do you run the races? Thanks in advance. |

Once upon a time there was a very good thread about how you started with X amount of virtual money, you could enter X number of horses per season etc. I'm not sure if it's still on the boards since the ezboard crash, I couldn't find it. Maybe someone else has better luck? It was a nice how to get started thread.
You can either send in a spare memory card to the designated person that handles your region, or you buy an x port that allows you to upload to your computer and email your files. www.consolesource.com/eco...oductid=60 It's hard to find it available though. I'm sure someone can explain this better than me. I haven't joined the league yet. But wanted to get you started. |

Right now there looks to be two new leagues starting in Fall 2006. One will use GR2004 and the other GR2006. For both, you will need to acquire an X-port for your PS-2 so that you can transfer files between PC and PS-2 mem cards. Optionally, you can mail your mem card, but that is very cumbersome.
For GR2004, there will be announcement made prolly in September about when the next league will form and instructions will be given. For GR2006, we haven't even established officers yet, so stand by. Meanwhile get the X-port. |

MaxDrive which is a USB flash saving device for PS2 is probably the best way to transfer your PS2 files to your PC. It is made by Datel.
Many of us still use our old XPort hardware, but it is nearly impossible to find these days and some people have had trouble getting it to work well. Jessica Crosswinds told me about another method that she used to send her files in, but I don't recall the specifics. I will get the information from her the next time I speak with her. Or you can send her a message via the EZ Inbox here in the forum for details. |

I second the max drive! It takes a while to get your head around it, but is still fairly easy to figure out. I also liked that it was comparitively cheap - i got mine for $15 off ebay!
I'm so excited for the 06 league to start!!

RT,
Someone just sent me a max drive file and I have an X-Port. The X-Port wont read the Max drive files. Is there a trick or is it not possible to exchange files unless you have both devices. |
