I just did a quick review of the US schedule. The only thing I think needs mentioning is that when the course name has a number 2 on the end of it (Santa Anita
Park2) the dirt track is being used. When the course name does not, then it is the turf course (Santa Anita Park).
I have deduced this by comparing races with the actual race where I am sure of the surface. A few examples are as follows. Sunshine Millions Turf................Santa Anita Park Sunshine Millions Classic...........Santa Anita Park2 The Belmont Stakes..................Belmont Park2 The Manhattan..........................Belmont Park Breeders Cup Turf....................Churchill Downs Breeders Cup Classic...............Churchill Downs2 I have not found a race that is listed on the wrong track yet. beau1935 wrote: Very astute of you Beau. The original UK version only had single surface tracks in it. Mark was faced with the problem of the majority US tracks having dual surfaces. I think I asked him if he could provide two separate tracks for the US venues and have the turf races run on the turf track and the dirt races run on the dirt track. I believe the only compromise he had to make was that both surface tracks could not be run in the same day. The Churchill Downs dirt races had to be run on one day and the turf races run on the next day or vice versa. I honestly had not even thought to check that when I was beta testing the US side of SO3 so I don't know if that is still a fact or not. |

looks good Dave... tho' im very disappointed no Irish NH races made it into the NH schedule..?
Irish racing is on a par with UK these days tho' when it comes to Prizemoney the Irish are far superior hopefully next season will get the important Irish festivals in...racing without Punchestown, etc is like having no Cheltenham or Aintree..! considering the Irish win a lot of the big UK races..its very sad indeed Paul |

Tell me where the updated schedules are and I will link to them. Don't want any confusion on what races the National Hunt Club is going to host in its
first season!
