Thunder Hills Stables screwed up big time by not switching horses in time after the schedule was changed. I tried making things right on Sunday, but it was past the deadline and I was too late. So now I have dirt horses in turf races and turf horses in dirt races. I was notified with plenty of time to make adjustments, so it's on me. But it's all good, this is just an exhibition season, I'm more concerned about getting the league going and working the kinks out than how my horses do. Speaking of my horses, I did get a few of them to get into races that were suitable for their skills. Slingshot is probably my biggest freak in the stable. He is a dirt horse, and luckily was entered into race 8, a dirt race. I was surprised he was only tied to be the favorite. I believe he will crush the field and leave all others in shock and awe by the magnitude of his greatness. Well, unless he gets fenced in, he is a midpacker. I bet you don't need a frontrunner to be competitive in online racing with GR2004, at least compared to GR2003. That will be something to watch for this exhibition season, to see if the various leg types have a more balanced chance to win.

Looks like you've still got a couple of good chances in there for Week 1. I may be prejudiced, but I think that my filly, Solar Reward, deserves to be co-favorite with Slingshot. She, too, is a monster on the dirt, and like your horse, she is a mid-runner. I think that Race 8 will go to whoever gets the best trip. Watch out for my little filly, Whirlybird, in the 5th. She's one of the best in my stable, but she's getting no respect on the morning line.

My underdog horses with great speed and good stamina often beat my favored horses that have superior stamina but only good speed.

It's great just to see them running races , the new race vids were great with some really good races , not all my faves (best odds) won but were beat by better horses on the day ( i reckon a really good preceder with good speed could beat my best??), which is making me worry about next week...Beige
