This is a way that ORLWorld members can support each other in business, especially during these times of uncertain economies.

Please state below (as much as you feel comfortable with) the name of the business that you are in and where it is located. Please also state what products and/or services that you can provide for customers. Post as much text and as many graphics (even business card images) as you like. List your websites as well. Update everything as often as you like. I will then list them all in categories in this top posting for quick viewing by everyone.

Don't judge your business as possibly not being needed by anyone in the ORLWorld. You never know who may receive word about it and have need of it someday.

You also do not have to own these businesses, in order to list them. The more business a company has, the more security someone could possibly have in their own job with that company.

Addition: I will also post the banner of your business on our main page from time to time, so that you can have additional exposure.

So lets help each other in our real world occupations and businesses by trying to do business with them if it is at all possible. If we have more peace of mind in our real world lives, it might make having and enjoying our leisure times, that much easier.

My father's website much is explained on site but a brief word on what we have done.

A study of all UK race courses and how well the favourites fared.
This started from 1988 to then end of the 2006 season.
Each course book is broken down by age and length race.

A publisher saw our website and asked if we could do a Southern and Northern edition
which we did.

Our Latest project was a horse racing puzzle book which has been published.
We have a few more portfolios of puzzle books ready just looking for the right publisher.

City Media Sites/City Sites Inc. is owned by Kate Higgins, a long time friend of mine. I have worked for her company for a year now, helping to build, update and optimize websites. She creates the home page theme for the sites and I build the content pages. Below are a few of the websites that we have created. Clicking on the images will take you to those sites.

On a side note, the Billy Holiday link will take you to the old Michael Ochs Archives website, the now sold company that I worked for, for 12 years. What you see is the Flash work that Kate created for us at that time. The section of a blues song that you hear was created by myself on some music software.

Occupational (workplace) health and safety (OHS) in Australia is about preventing employees, visitors and the public from being harmed or becoming ill primarily due to work activities. We specialize in the sale of cars, trucks, trailers, motorhomes, antique furniture, china, crystal, sterling silver, bronze sculptures/figurines, paintings, military memorabilia, antique toys and other notable collectibles. We are also experienced in finding for clients, items of interest.

Our Services

The majority of our clients' personal property both large and small, are sold through our Ebay store to customers worldwide. The advanatages to offering them on Ebay is that they are exposed to thousands of potential customers from around the world. In our store we offer a variety of sterling silver jewelry, statues, figurines, antiques, audio books, dinnerware, 45 rpms, entertainment 35mm color slides, collectible laserdiscs, clocks, desktop items, designer sunglasses and other notable collectibles. Our vehicle sales are handled through our Ebay Motors department.

Sometimes our clients' personal property may require an appraiser to determine both their authenticity and value. Our appraisers have many years of experience in appraising collectibles from around the world. The client is responsible for paying our appraisers for the appraisal of their items.

Our Procedures

We will photograph your personal property in the comfort of your own business or home. We will then get as much information from you about your various items and we will then do further research on the internet. When we have completed we will then contact you and advise you on what we feel they are worth and map out a sales strategy for them. Your valued items stay safely with you until they are sold.

We will put them on Auction for the first week. If they do not sell we will contact you and advise you on whether
they should go on Auction for a second week at a lower price or go on display in our Ebay store where our
customers browse through our various items all day.

When your items do sell, if they are small enough to be shipped we will bring you a statement and a check for them. We will then pick them up, package and ship them to our customers. We do not pick up your personal property
until we have been paid for them.

If your personal property must be picked up by our customers we arrange for them to come to your house and we greet them at your house personally, for the pick up. We will never send our customers to your house without ourselves being present as well.

Most customers want to inspect vehicles before they purchase them. We will arrange for them to see your vehicles
at your convenience and we will be present as well.

A-Plus Computing has been serving the Roanoke area of southwest Virginia since 1997. We custom-build computers, and upgrade and service all makes of computers and laptops. We also service HP Laserjet printers. Also design and install networks and networking components, including wireless, cablemodems, hubs, switches, and pulling cable. We do web hosting and web and graphic design, custom programming, and database management.

Photo Finish is an online horse racing sim game that has been in operation since October 2002. To sign up and play is free, but those who donate get extras for their stables. New players are always accepted, and our friendly community of players always willing to help out those with questions.

I also do woodworking, including custom cabinet making as seen above.

Just registered and legal as of today. Stitch A Gem offers custom patterns in cross stitch, 5x7, and 8x11 kits also available. I'm looking into expanding into needlepoint patterns and latch hook as well.
