The only small thing i noticed which might be handy is when a jockey refuses the ride, just click him again & he says yes.

Any idea how to quickly improve the horses jumping ability ??
I long for a horse that jumps very good or better....
Why cant i have a horse that jumps like Istrabraq or Best Mate ??? I have read the small print in the instructions & i am sad that the clause quotes your horse may not jump better or show any improvement...... A horse after schooling will jump better, FACT
It may jump badly but a horse jumps better after training to jump, 1 out 100 jumps brilliantly..... Has anyone had a horse with half the bar full of JUMPING ?

I have had a jump rating of 100% but not sure if that is as good as a bar that is 100%. The horse did win 3 world hurdles and 2 world series as a stallion.
Pretty unlikely in reality but lets hope his offspring are any good. Managed to cross him with a game bred Grand National winner. Lets live in hope that the
offspring are useful

im not sure but i think the rating of 100% relates to how the horse jumped in its last race or races
i e mistake free race...least thats how i see that rating i think the only way to raise the bar is through selective breeding..maybe 2 X 30% bars will make a 40-50% bar in offspring.. at this stage its all supposition but thats my guess..maybe Mark can shed some light Paul |

I am starting to enjoy the game more now, it has its quirks but it is a fantastic game.
Thanks to leon for jockey instructions, my horses are running better now. Just managed to do the champion hurdle/aintree hurdle double with the same horse.

question-jockey insts - dont go clear finish if /when should this be used ? distance / horse type.i noticed the jump bar goes up abit each season as the horse
gets older. i would surgest a apprentice to for your horses a (7)lb off horses back in top feature races might help ...thats if the game allows it.
sometimes you only have the jockeys what the game chooses.

The only time i use 'dont go clear' is to protect the handicap mark, but often the horse gets done on the line in so2.
I have not tried an apprentice yet in so3, does it work for jump racing ? |

I do school my horses for jumps on the gallops and watch them closely. I've improved their jumping ability, although, some horses only improve a very small
amount and will be only hurdlers at best.

I have tried to turn my champion hurdlers & staying hurdlers into chasers but without much success so far, even thotheir is one jumping ability i think
horses are either better hurdlers or chasers, which is a good thing imo.

What I find JV is a lot of the good hurdlers have lower jump bars than the chasers. Maybe the jumo bar is an indication of how high they can jump.
