I even suggested other ORLWorld members for them to hire onto their team. Then in a telephone conference with several of us, we were all told that there was an activity that we had to do which would have deceived all of you. I immediately voiced my objections, saying that I had banned people from the ORLWorld for doing exactly what we were being instructed to do. It was made clear that we all had to do it. I finally agreed, but said that I did not like it. Over the next few days when we were all supposed to implement this deception on all of you, I could tell from my Administrator access priviledges, that other staff members were having trouble implementing this deception as well. My guilt over what I was doing kept growing every day. I was beginning to not like this company as much as I had before. Then I was instructed to do one more thing that grinded me to a hault. That was the last straw. I wrote a letter stating my objections again and offered ideas that did not involve the deception of the horse race gaming community. My entire letter was thoroughly rebuffed and I was told to continue doing what I had been instructed to do. I have worked very hard for 5 1/2 years to build a horse race gaming community. If I agreed to betray all of you for a monthly pay check and sponsorships for two leagues from this company, then the past 5 1/2 years would have been just a sorry waste of time. So I quit the company right away and will have nothing to do with them from this point on. I worked for a company for around 12 years that involved compromising my integrity on many occasions. I convinced myself to do those things because I needed a pay check. Not any more. I have had some tough times in the past 2 1/2 years since I received my last paycheck from that company, but I have never regretted for a second not working there. Working for any company in the future like this one where I would have to compromise my integrity in order to get paid is simply not an option. Never again and certainly not where it involves betraying the trust that you have in me and my involvement in this community. The two GR leagues will be sponsored this year though, and I promise that it will happen without having to agree to anything unsavory in the process. Last Edited By: JimCougar 03/19/08 4:38 PM. We go way back. It would have been quite easy for you to betray our trust in you. I'm not at all surprised that you couldn't bring yourself to do it.
