The triple crown races, especially the preakness and belmont were very entertaining, which is a pleasant thing. Even though we had no sweep, these races set the rest of the year up nicely. With none of the horses being completely dominant, perhaps we will not see them all getting retired before the end of the year like in the past.

I'm sure you've come across these 2 little problems that I have when calculating the pace numbers for the Derby contenders...

1) Circular Quay's Risen Star
He was obviously impeded and his action was most definitely changed. How are you adjusting his numbers for that?

2) THE BIGGIE - The damn Bluegrass
