Is TK working for anyone else? Right now I have a "problem loading page" message with a "firefox can't find the server" error.

Retirement - How Does it Work?

I have a 10 year old gelding that TK say is in its last year of racing. What happens after that? Is it retired in my stables or out of my stables? Does it die?

I also have an 8 yo mare that is pretty good. I would like to breed her next season to a now 3yo stallion that I think is going to be pretty good. Will I then only have 2 years to breed my mare or will she retire after 10 years, into my stables so I can continue to breed her?

They Salvaged the Files of Last Week - Darn it!

It looks like they managed to salvage the files of last week that they were worried would be lost forever. That means that my dumb costly move is still on! LOL Oh well... A good thing though, is that Friday's Stakes races took place after all.

I decided to check out this game, looks interesting to start with. However, I'm a bit worried about the yearling I got.

It's not how she's not that good, I pretty much expected that.

It's how she's 19.2 hands.

Oh well, I suppose she could end up the Godzilla of Thoroughbreds, and just eat all the other racers and win by default.

A Track King ORLWorld League at Class 1?

I was thinking that it might be fun when a bunch of us reach Class 1, to find a track that we could all move to and form a new ORLWorld league. We could have a Betting Manager that we would report our bets to and have writers that could hype up the races. We could create banners each week promoting the races as well.

I say when we get to Class 1 because it would give everyone some time to build up their stables and hopefully enough income to afford the move without going bankrupt...

It Cost Me $800,000 to move?!

Is this true? Do you lose everything when you move and have pay for everything all over again when you move? I did not read about that much of an expense when it offered me the move. LOL Well I sure hope the higher purses in Class 2 will make up for that.

I got 2nd place in Class 3 and now I have to decide whether to move up to Class 2 where it will be even stiffer competition or stay in Class 3 where I might reign supreme in season 3. The bonus I received for 2nd place put me up to 1.5 mil in earnings so I can't complain about that. What are you going to do and why?

Not sure how it happened this week, but it shows that I now have $1,003,846 in my account! I know that will drop down once my weekly bills are paid, but it has still been nice to see for the last couple of days anyway! Now I have to work my stables in order to get that to show up on every day!

So now what do I do?! I have been doing some training on them... swimming, conditioning and now some starting stalls work. Are they now ready for a race? Should I put them in a stakes race? If so, should I start them in a sprint race? Would Apprentices or hired professional jockeys be better for them?

Financial difficulties

Is anyone else experiencing financial troubles during the off-season?

I picked up an additional $510,000 from the 2nd place overall finish in class 4 racing at Windy City and I'll be in the red by the time class 3 racing starts in a couple of weeks.

I can only imagine how tough it's going to be for stables that didn't get any extra prize money at the end of season 1.

I think this is something that really needs to be addressed.

If you're having a tough time placing well in races due to better horses from more established stables, there is something you can do about it.

We will all be afforded the choice of moving our operations to a different location. Take this "golden opportunity" to move to a track that has mostly 'bot stables. Some of those established stables that seem to have endless money and great horses got that way because they were competing against 'bot stables early...

Amoeba Zeus came in 2nd in a 1900m run with jockey Shae Gerhart guiding him to a photo finish (didn't really look that close to me while watching though )
