Breeding unraced horses

What is the idea behind breeding an unraced mare? Tonno, you have mentioned you like to breed unraced Trak Blaster. What do you find advantagous about that? Who else out there likes to breed unraced horses and why? I think I remember reading that one should progress them until they peak and then retire to breed but I don't remember for sure. Please share....

Everyone knows that Buster Chops & Wager Early are great breeders and I assume that at some point most of us have these in our lines. I would like to hear what other horses people like to race & breed, the ones that you never really hear about. I started out my dirt line with Dede Dead (Top of the USA). I admit, she wasn't very fun to ride early on as she peaks very late but if you just keep whipping her she will win for you. I like her growth curve and she will breed that into...

I just wanted to throw this out there for anyone still interested in this game and breeding for dirt...I wanted to breed a dirt dominant horse for breeding to a colt I had who was rated T122 D107. I needed to breed one from the ground up but I didn't want it to take forever in order to get one who was near his ratings. I wanted to use Buster Chops but I could not get him to show up in the shop for anything so I decided I would breed Wager Early (T113 D95) to Reedley (T122 D104). I know...

Hello all! I'm new to the forums, just call me Lucy, or Stone, or whatever you would like.

So; on to my question... I finally got Sammys Pace after Black Fear beat everyone out (which I was surprised) and now I was just wondering what everyone's experience breeding to Sammys Pace was like with different mares. You know, like which mares with him would produce formidable offspring.

And also, how many times does a person restart their game to get A or S level rivals...

i just bred a 109/121 colt x 116/107 filly and it gave me a 132/121 colt WOW!!!

a chocolate female who runs 8-15 with 12 SPY and has a nice 5.5 peak and will top out at 122/134....am running her now...will let you know how she finishes up...JAG

Bowija is my new filly that I bred. As you might guess, her sire is Bo Jangles and her dam is Wild Vegas. She has her sire's coloring. There was a nice surprise with Bowija. The game gave her a FLEXIBLE pace. Two of her bars are S.... guts and incline. Her other bars are AAB. She has a start limit of 12. She cost me 128000 points to breed. That's almost twice what it cost me to breed Altasca.

Wild Vegas is due to be retired soon after she runs her 5th year. I was thinking of breeding her to Bo Jangles once he is retired, but her 4 year peak concerns me. I would prefer to mate her to a horse that peaks at 5 or later to counterbalance her earlier peak. Any suggestions on what game horses would be suitable?

A color question

I see from reading post titles that people are looking to breed white horses. That's great, but I would rather breed for black. Black and gray are my favorite horse colors, and black is not a common color. Is there a way to breed for black?

I have a mare in my breeding shed that needs a stud but I don't know which males would be suitable mates for her.

Soao Mama is the mare. She was my first horse that won more than one G1. She came from the G1 Road shop. I had a learning curve with her since she was my first frontrunner so I had to learn how to deal with that running style.
She cost me 55,300 points and earned 190,600 points with 26 wins. She had two shooting stars beaten, one special title and 12 G1s won in her...

GR Altasca

Altasca is my first foal I've bred on GR 2001. Her sire is All Talk and her dam is Scabbot, both ranked A. They came from the shop Aim High.
Her starting turf rating is 82 and dirt is 67. She has 13 starts per year. Her distance range is 9f to 14f. She is I would guess ABAAB right now. I think she will peak at 4 to 4.5 years or thereabouts.

The surprise with her was that she has a higher start limit than both her sire and dam. She's slightly longer than her dam but slightly...

A breeding question

I was reading some of the posts here and they didn't answer the question I wanted to ask...

I just bred my first foal on GR 2001. My question is about the growth type chart. When I look at the chart, there are 6 slots across and 6 slots down. Which slot down should the green line start if I wanted a horse that peaked at 4.5 years? 5 years? My filly's line starts third slot down.

I've started a new game of 2001 and thought I'd use this thread as a kind of blog of my progress:

Started out with a nice filly called Cash Kollect who was a little star, won way more races than she should of, a real gem of a starter, bred her to a nice turf sprinter called Bear Press to get a filly then bred that filly to Nit Picky to get a filly called Cashnit, she way outdid her numbers of 96/77 to win a couple of international G1's, Super Mile Cup I think, and won the Dream Cup...

I rented GR 2001 to see if I wanted to buy it, needless to say I am hooked now (on all three versions even).

What I need to know is.....
Anyone had any luck breeding Wizards Pace(c) T85 D90(step up shop i think)? I bought him intitially to make money so I could upgrade but now that hes doing pretty well I am thinking of finding him a good novice/step up filly to start my lines. He's won Feb Stakes back to back no reloading(at 4 &5 yo), new record in his first appearence;...
