G1 Jockey is hardly a game that will be getting gamers excited, sure horse racing fans might rush out to buy it on release but it's not even going to be their most wanted. It wasn't a big seller either and by no means pushes the wii to any extent. However it does make great use of the wii controls and is very fun and satisfying to play even if you're not a horse racing fan.

I have many happy memories of eking out £2 of pocket money over the course of an afternoon's illicit gambling, while my mother trawled the shops for bargains. Riding virtual racehorses should definitely not be this much fun.

When we first heard that a new game was heading to the Wii where you used one controller for whipping and another for riding hard, we assumed that Koei were bringing a very bizarre kind of simulation to the Wii.
