I've experienced in my racing in the past year that there are times when I think I've ran a race perfectly (in terms of with a horse I'm very familiar with, over a distance I've won over before), and for some reason, once I hit the stretch, my horse completely goes capoot, and I end up losing a race I could have easily won.
